guitar and bass
in Bergamo.

I’m Antonello Gini, a professional musician with 25 years of teaching and live performance experience and over 1,000 concerts across Europe. Your learning path

Give shape
to what you hear.

Private acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass lessons in Bergamo, for beginners and experienced musicians. Technique, theory and listening come together through studying songs: learn to recognise their character and choose how to express it.

01 / TECHNIQUE

Your technique
becomes sound

Posture, coordination, articulation and tone control. Each exercise has a musical purpose: giving a note weight, making a phrase flow or finding the right touch for a song.

02 / MUSICIANSHIP

Rhythm
creates connections

Pulse, accents, rests and harmony. We listen to how the parts work together: the bass supports and guides the movement, while the guitar shapes accompaniment, melody and colour.

03 / REPERTOIRE

Your phrasing
expresses an idea

Explore a piece’s structure, tension and intention. Through repertoire and improvisation, we work on dynamics, phrasing and silence: the choices that make an interpretation your own.

Styles and musical languages

Turn each genre
into musical practice.

Funk, rock, blues, pop, ska, reggae, punk and metal: study guitar and bass in their musical context. Each style suggests a different approach to rhythm, tone and building a part.

01 / GROOVE AND ACCENTS

Funk, ska
and reggae

Syncopation, offbeat accents and control over note length. We work on rhythmic interplay and listening to the drums, giving the groove its identity while leaving room for the other instruments.

02 / ATTACK AND PRECISION

Rock, punk
and metal

Riffs, precise attacks, noise control and energy. Technical work connects with solid timing, tone and the role of each part in the arrangement.

03 / PHRASING AND SONG

Blues
and pop

Chord progressions, accompaniment, dynamics and phrasing. We explore the weight of each note and its relationship with the melody, creating distinctive parts that suit the song.

Live performance is part of what I bring to teaching.
Your teacher

Antonello Gini.
A life working in music.

For 25 years I have combined teaching and live performance. More than 1,000 concerts across Europe have taught me the importance of listening, timing and choosing what to play, how to play it and when to leave space.

I bring this experience to guitar and bass lessons: technique finds its meaning in a phrase, an accompaniment or a conversation with the other instruments. Studying a piece means understanding its structure and finding a musical intention behind each choice.

My background includes playing as a former bassist with Arpioni and collaborating with Tonino Carotone. In lessons, you are the starting point: your listening, your pace and the voice you want to give your instrument.
